SHRI’s leadership team comprises professionals passionate in enhancing rights of high-quality sanitation for everyone, everywhere. The one leading the organization at the top is Dr. Anoop Jain. As SHRI’s CEO, he majorly works on overseeing fundraising & research and providing directions from time to time to all management staff for future scaling goals of SHRI. After his PhD from UC Berkeley and Post-Doc from Stanford and Harvard, Anoop is a faculty at Boston University conducting research on sanitation in India.
Dr. Helen Pitchik oversees SHRI’s research efforts. Dr. Pitchik, PhD in Epidemiology, and currently a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley, is designing a study to rigorously quantify the effect of SHRI’s O&M system on OD. Nitin Kumar, a Harvard Kennedy School graduate and a former Prime Minister’s Rural Development fellow, manages SHRI’s government relations and devises strategies to professionalize SHRI’s operations, service delivery and management.
Last but not the least, Chandan Kumar and Prabin Kumar oversee SHRI’s operations in Bihar and Jharkhand respectively. They have developed and executed SHRI’s O&M system, built SHRI’s staff training protocols that ensure facility safety and quality, and lead SHRI’s tablet-based data collection process.
